{day 11} in a small city

Ok, so I'm sure you expected all of my posts to be about things to do in Charleston.
However, there are some really great things fairly close to our small city that I want to share with you.

The first of those is
The Pumpkin Festival in Milton, WV
(about a 40 minute drive on I-64W from Charleston)

Last weekend, my friend and I loaded up the little (4 of them 3 and under!)
and headed down to The Pumpkin Festival. And we had a blast...despite the chilly day.

We enjoyed looking at the vendors and crafters, sampling some delicious sauces and various food items, listening to a barbershop group sing, eating some pumpkin popcorn, and letting the littles have some fun with sand art.

There were people making kettle corn, grilled corn on the cob, and apple butter on site. The smells were amazing!

There is really something for everyone at The Pumpkin Festival. Fun things for kids, home decor, food vendors, crafts, 4-H displays and animals, a hay bale maze for kiddos, etc.

We were only there for a couple of hours, but it was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!

The Pumpkin Festival is only open for one weekend per year, so if you're interested in going, you'll need to check the website for the dates for next Fall!

Did you know this is {day 11} in a 31 day series?!?
I'm linking up with The Nester and others in the Write31Days challenge!
Go check out the other blogs and check back here tomorrow for another "day in a small city"
